Hammy Home

Hammy Home is a fun, little web app for designing and caring for virtual hamsters.

In this version there are cages, bedding, tubes, wheels, swings, food bowls, water bottles, chews, hanging chews, ramps, platforms, a bridge and different background patterns. There are plans to add other accessories such as slides, teeter totters, saucers, etc. This will depend on what the community wants.

Up to 10 hamsters can be added to each cage setup. You can design your hamsters to have different colors and fur patterns. Make your hamster your own as there are tons of unique combinations!

When you are done customizing, relax and watch your hamster. You can use the food button at the bottom of the page to feed your hamsters. The touch button allows you to pet or pick up your hamsters, fill the water bottles and play with them by moving the chew toys, pushing the swings, or spinning the wheels.

When you are happy with your creation, use the share menu to share with your friends.

@FuzzieDuck It should be saving your homes as long as you are using the same browser on the same computer. Is this a shared computer? Are you able to look at the browser history when you log back in or is that empty?

Hi zaakhi, You shouldn’t use Flash to run the gadgets that aren’t working (dog, turtles) since it’s no longer getting security updates.

Love how much work was put into making this! It’s cute to see their cheek pouches getting filled and then they take the food out to eat. I’d love to see them burrowing too if it’s possible

If you fill a box with bedding, there is a chance a hamster will burrow in it (If the bedding is thick enough)

Hi, I love this pet simulator. May I suggest adding a naming feature so we can see which hamster is which?
Also, if hamsters falls out, it should be considered as ¨deleted¨ so we can get them back at the hamster tab.

Cheers, Gigkolboi

Do you have a home where the hamster is spawned outside a cage? If so, can you use the share menu to send it to me at [email protected]?

I was thinking about the naming feature a while ago. I’ll give it some more thought.

Thanks

No, that haven’t happened to me yet, but when you move the hamster while in edit mode and place it incorrectly, its falls out (Eg: moving a hamster into another cage but accidentally places it wrong and falls out)

Oh snap! I just threw a hamster outside the cage. I thought there was some code to prevent that. When I reload the home it does get placed back into a cage, though. I need to look into this more. Thanks
